The Magic of John T. Car - Audio Transcript

  • Since 1956, when John was still a Senior in High School, he came up with this Unique and Revolutionary concept of connecting Consumers, Causes, and Businesses to help generate Funds for both Causes and Businesses. John did this for another reason too, he needed to help his parents and two little sisters with the Family expenses and pay for his college education. Remember, back then there were no cell phones or computers, everything was done by (door-to-door) in-person networking or by Telephone.

  • In March of 1974 CGF was officially co-founded by John and Donna Carr. John and his Dear wife Donna of 59 years, went on to officially co-found this unique concept which became known as the "Charitable Giving Foundation" aka (CGF).

  • In 2010 The CGF went live on the Internet leveraging this technology to further market this concept in the growing social networking marketplace.

  • On 12/01/2017 The CGF implemented a new mobile-friendly website to keep pace with advances in mobile communications technology. CGF programs were also refocused to maximize the giving potential to Causes. New technologies that were deployed included the ability to self-maintain merchant and cause listings (similar to FB), and tracking codes were used to measure promotional efforts. CGF Estate Planning Cause Donations at that time were $103,788,508.33 and counting.

  • In 2020 The Charitable Giving Foundation again evolved and refocused efforts on Estate Planning. Other programs included: Real Estate Referral, Affiliate Online Shopping, and Certified Associates (the CGF salesforce). Our innovative programs are designed to help improve the ways charities (Causes) are funded, and GF Certified Associates help Causes by connecting individuals to CGF and providing support to causes while generating income for their efforts.

  • In summary, since 1974 The Charitable Giving Foundation has donated over 100 million dollars to Causes through our Estate Planning, Real Estate Referral, and Affiliate Programs.

  • Which brings us to today... (1974-Present) >49 years later and still serving causes that John has been called to continue by his faith and dedication to this noble purpose through his Real Estate Referral Program, which is still active today.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

Mentor's that have touched my life. Several I have known personally. What a blessing... —John T. Carr

The phrase "standing on the shoulders of giants" is a metaphor that means, "Using the understanding gained by major thinkers who have gone before in order to make intellectual progress."
